TSAWWASSEN SUNFEST MIXED TRIPLES TOURNAMENT 

On Saturday, Aug. 3, 2024 - the Tsawwassen Lawn Bowling Club hosted the sixth version of the Tsawwassen Sun Festival Mixed Triples Tournament.

Sixteen teams, comprised of 24 men and 24 women, participated. Highly ranked teams came from Vancouver, Richmond, South Surrey, New Westminster, Maple Ridge and of course, Tsawwassen. The tournament included many current or former national and provincial lawn bowling champions.

On a hot sunny day, the teams each played four games. At the end of a long but satisfying day, a team from Maple Ridge Lawn Bowling Club, captained by Doug Dingman, emerged victorious and received the first-place prize money and the coveted Sunfest Trophy.

Many team players praised the condition of the green and the beauty of the relatively new Winskill Park Field House. Tsawwassen Lawn Bowling Club was very pleased to be able to participate once again in the Tsawwassen Sun Festival.
